The value of the “World Wide Web” is its wealth of information. However, sometimes finding reliable information in a timely manner is difficult. There is an extremely wide variety of material on the Internet, ranging in its accuracy, reliability, and value. Unlike most traditional sources of information (encyclopedia, books, and magazines), no one has to approve the content before making it public. Thinking the information is correct is easy for students because it is presented on the web. Some sites are hoaxes, others offer limited educational value but are visually appealing. Other sites take too long to download, due to heavy graphics and others are heavy in advertising. Educators often do not have the extra time needed to search for classroom appropriate material, information, and resources.
Therefore, we constructed this site to assist students, parents and educators in finding reliable information and valuable resource in a timely manner. We selected sites that, in general, meet the following criteria: 1) contain appropriate and accurate information, 2) download in a timely manner, 3) are easy to read.
This web page contains numerous educational resources for students, parents and educators. You will not have to spend hours looking for a web site with the much needed information. Listed below, by topic, are some of our favorites. Each topic has an icon. Simply click on the icon and go the resources for each subject. This is a work in progress, so check back often as additions will continue to be added.
